Classic Beef Roast, ready to eat when the family arrives home. Great tasting and economical as roast does not need to be and expensive cut.
Ingredients
1 1/2 - 2 kg chuck beef roast (or any other economy cut)
1 packet French Onion Soup mix
2 x 300g cans of French onion soup
4 medium potatoes, quartered
2 large carrots, quartered
1 bay leaf
2 sprigs of thyme
Method
Place roast in large, Slow Cooker.
Sprinkle onion soup mix over roast and spoon over soup.
Place potatoes and carrots around roast, as well as herbs.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours.
Serve with peas or beans .
